Fields marked with an * are required

Information requested on this form is for the exclusive use of Cincinnati Scholastic Chess and, as applicable, the USCF and FIDE. We will not give it, sell it, or otherwise make it available to any other organization or individual except as required by law. While we do not require your contact information except as specifically noted below, having it enables us to communicate with you if we have any questions about your entry and to notify you if there are any changes regarding the tournament. We encourage you, therefore, to provide some way to contact you, preferably some way that is faster than the US Postal Service.

This field is required if you are entering the Championship section.

If you have a FIDE Identification Number (FIN), enter it here. If you do not, enter "none" followed by your date of birth (month/day/year). Your date of birth is required in order for us to obtain a FIN for you, which we will do as part of processing your entry. Your provision of this information signifies your agreement to receive a USA Federation FIN. If you are not a resident of the United States or do not wish to obtain a USA Federation FIN, then you must obtain a FIN through your national Federation before entering the tournament.

TOURNAMENT ENTRY

Players may play up but may not play up more than one section higher than their natural section based on their March 2019 official rating (unofficial rating for unrated players who are unofficially rated).

Unless you are entering the Championship section, you must select one round out of six for a zero-point bye. If you are taking a half-point bye as well, the zero-point bye must be for the earliest bye round selected.

If you are entering the Championship section, you may take one or two half-point byes in rounds 1 through 5.

If you are entering the U2100, U1700 or U1300 section, you may take one or two half-point byes in rounds 1 through 6 in addition to the zero-point bye selected above. If you are taking any half-point bye, the zero-point bye must be for the earliest bye round selected.

If you played in the 2018 Cincinnati Open, take the $10 loyalty discount (see the A List to confirm eligibility). If you did not play in 2018 but played in any year from 2012 through 2017, take the $5 loyalty discount (see the B List to confirm eligibility).

GM/IM/WGM/WIM: Do not select either loyalty discount even if you qualify for one because this will make the total payable amount shown below less than zero, and your submission will not be processed. We will factor a loyalty discount, if applicable, into your prize payment should you win a prize.

This charge will show up on your statement as “PayPal Chess Fee”.
